Golf Center of Arlington runs two kinds of hitting stations onto the same range. The 18 covered bays use Power Tee automatic teeing systems, so the next ball rises into place without bending over, and each bay has its own Toptracer touchscreen for ball tracking and games.

The 28 natural-grass hitting areas are for golfers who want to hit off real turf the way they will on the course. They are tracked with Toptracer GO through the mobile app rather than a bay screen. Both areas use the same high-quality practice balls and the same 12 target greens.

Every bucket also unlocks the free short game practice area: a putting green, chipping green, sand bunkers and uneven-lie stations. Wet-weather plan: hit under cover, then putt when the rain lets up.

What does an all-weather session cost?

Bucket prices at Golf Center of Arlington are the same whether you hit from a covered bay or a grass tee. There is no surcharge for the roof or the heat.

Two daily specials matter for weather planning. From 8 to 9 AM the range is self-service and everyone pays member pricing at the ball dispenser, which is the coolest hour of a summer day. From 9 AM to 6 PM, regular bucket prices are 30% off every day; mention the special at check-in. Every bucket also earns rewards points: 100 points ($1) for non-members and 200 points ($2) for members.

For everything else, no reservation is needed. Golf Center of Arlington is open to the public with no membership required, walk-ins are welcome every day, and well-behaved dogs on a leash can come along. Outside food is allowed; coolers and outside beverages are not.

Does year-round practice actually make you better?

The biggest advantage of covered, heated bays is not comfort. It is continuity. Golfers who stop practicing from November to March spend April rebuilding what they had in October. Golfers who keep a weekly bucket going through winter start the season where they left off.
